  Teen Sexual Assault Prevention Program

The teen sexual assault program is run through the high schools in the tri county area, with the intention to educate students about sexual assault and rape prevention. Top goals are to teach the students about what mights happene, and how to be aware of what is going on in and around the school and the community in which they live. Date rape drugs, criminal sexual conduct laws and the buddy system are just some of the topics addressed.

This past year, the DPRC ran it's first ever Putt Putt for Prevention at a local miniature golf course. Young people from the ages of 13 - 19 were invited to participate in learning about and preventing sexual assault. As the participants moved through the golf course they collected clues to help them solve six different activities. If they completed all six activities, they had the opportunity to enter their name in a drawing for prizes. All participants received a goodie bag with prevention materials and a gift certificate to a local business.
